Oral History Access Levels


Free Access

Users may view, quote from, cite, or reproduce the oral history with the permission of the Science History Institute. Users citing interviews for purposes of publication are obliged under the terms of the Science History Institute Center for Oral History to notify the Institute of publication and credit the Institute using the following format: [Name of interviewee], interview by [name of interviewer] at [interview location], [interview date] (Philadelphia: Science History Institute, Oral History Transcript # [interview number]).

Semi-Restricted

Users may view the oral history with the permission of the Science History Institute. Permission of the interviewee is required to quote from, cite, or reproduce the oral history. Please contact the Institute to request interviewee’s permission.

Restricted

Interviewee permission is required to view, quote from, cite, or reproduce the oral history. Please contact the Science History Institute to request interviewee’s permission.

Special Research Status

Transcript remains unedited or lightly edited due to the interviewee’s request or incapacitation or to the Science History Institute’s discretion. Transcript may not contain an abstract, table of contents, or index. Users may view the oral history with the permission of the Institute; however, users are not allowed to quote from, cite, or reproduce the oral history.
